2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack – So, a few cars are as iconic as the Ford Mustang, which is why even though the Ford brand is transitioning to SUVs and trucks, only a GT model with the performance package.
What You Have to Get From 2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack
Getting started here with your exterior design, you don’t need me to tell you that it does have a very aggressive look. Kind of squatting down here at your grill, it does have that traditional 2020 Ford Mustang look kind of a trapezoid shape with the honeycomb finish. And your pony right there in the middle now moving down to your lower part as you can see you have a very aggressive lower diffuser that sticks out a lot adds to the bold look.
Then coming over here to your headlights, these are entirely LEDs that have that same updated design that Ford changed back in 2018. So, you have the daytime running light, which kind of has this fresh 3d look LED high and low beams. Then your LED turn signal and fog light right there that could be down there to your wheels both the GT and the GT premium. They come to stare with an 18-inch alloy with the contrast design, but there are a lot of different options. This car also available when you choose the Performance Package Peas at 19-inch fully blacked-out wheels, which we think look excellent, especially with the black exterior just really stealth looking.
We also want to talk about a few of the enhancements that the Performance Package adds to the brakes they are upgraded to six-piston Brembo calipers measuring in at 15-inches in the front, 13-inches in the rear and then wrapped around the rims you have Michelin Pilot summer tires, which are staggered to 55 widths in the front and 275 widths in the back. Then coming up here to your mirrors, they would be heated and have a turn signal indicator if you had the GT premium. Somewhat disappointed to say that you have to get the GT premium just to have the availability of optioning on blind-spot monitoring.
Taking a look inside the cabin, as you can tell, this is your typical 2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack design through different interior material and color options. You do have quite a few, so when you choose the base model that’s going to come with cloth. If you want the GT premium, that’s going to go with ebony ceramic when you select the 401 packages that give you premier leather black with blue stitching and then a cool showstopper red.
Turning over door trim, these same materials aren’t reflected. Coming down here to your seats, every GT is going to have a six-way power dusting seat with a lumbar. As far as the cabin materials, it does continue to have a pretty premium vibe in there. Across your upper dashboard, you have a soft touch plastic with some stitches. The same goes for this side.
We can check out the gauges; there is a standard airplane inspired to set up with a four and point 2-inch multi-function display right there. What’s cool is that you can get a 12 inch fully digital gauge cluster features that come with 26 different color options and eight different layouts. So, it’s a new and customizable gauge setup.
The next thing is going to be storage. That’s not going to be a considerable part, but we will say it is better than the Camaro. In the center console, there is reasonably significant. It’s at least three times larger than in the Camaro, and there’s a rubber lining down at the bottom. You also got some connections. We’ve been in front of that we have two cupholders. Even have a small storage bin up here in the front to maybe stick your cell phone with another USB and another 12-volt outlet.
Coming back here to the shifter, that’s the typical 2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack shifter where you press down on the top pullback for the drive, pull back again for the sport mode. You do have paddle shifters heading into reverse there. This is your standard backup camera setup. As you can see, it’s an extensive and beautiful display with current trajectory as well as rear parking sensors, and you have it leather-covered handbrake lit up in front of that.
2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack Specification
As well as extend never ceases to amaze, you, it’s just so much power these muscle cars. Nowadays, the V8 just a lot very intense energy. You don’t require us to tell you this is the five-liter V8, and that’s making 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. So, these are just big numbers. There’s no getting around, and you know we’re getting close to 500 horsepower, and we’re just in the only and the stander VA. We’re not even – Shelby, is there anything like that now that’s also good for a zero to 60 in fewer than four second out of this 2020 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack.
Which is insane for a GT, that starts at roughly thirty-five thousand bucks you can have a vehicle that goes zero to 60 in less than four seconds. That’s right, and this specific example is focused on performance as equipped. We have the performance package, so this is a lower equipment level like a star in terms of like your luxury features.
One of the things that we notice when we try and lower my excitement level just from the raw acceleration is only the transmission. This is the ten-speed automatic transmission, and we’ve seen this and a lot of different Ford products. This has an excellent application here in this Mustang GT performance because it shifts off like freaking a Ferrari. It’s just it is very fast insane how quickly it shifts a shift gear.
By talking about the fuel economy numbers, we could just sit here, and you know to play with this GT Mustang all day long. But we do have a couple more points of business to cover, so the manual coupe is going to be rated at 15 cities, 24 Highway, 18 combined. And then if you go for the automatic, which is what we have here somebody slightly better at 16 City, 25 Highway, 19 combined. As you can probably tell, we like it quite a bit. It’s a lot of fun; there’s not a lot of negative things to say about it or anything like that. You know this is a muscle car through and through, but it’s also a performance vehicle.
