2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid – We’re here at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, and we have Hyundai’s new 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. This is one of the big unveilings this year because this is an all-new vehicle. And they’re adding the hybrid this year and as you can see it does have a little bit of different styling. And it has a lot of promises in terms of fuel economy and conditions of its powertrain.

What You Have to Get From 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Starting here with the front, we do still have a Hyundai signature cool looking daytime running lights. That carries over from the all-new model but right here is where it’s going to change this is all-new for the Sonata Hybrid you have this bar design. In the actual grille and this piece right there, this chrome piece is entirely new for the hybrid. It gives it a bold and distinctive look we a massive fan of it.

As well now moving on from that, we do have specific hybrid wheels on this model. So, we do have the aerodynamic design; these are 17-inch alloy wheels, and we have little poor little vortexes in them as well as a beautiful contrast look, but moving up, this is really where you’re going to start to see some cool features. It’s not a hybrid, and that is the solar roof. I’ve never seen this on any mainstream vehicle, and probably the last vehicle you’ve seen that has this is the Frisker Karma. And what this promise is two miles of charge per day, so you’re looking at around 700 miles of just free energy.

That it’s soaking up from the Sun, I’m a unique feature to have, especially in the mixed midsize today at the segment. At the rear, this is going to be mostly the same as the regular Sonata. However, you are going to notice you have this beautiful hybrid bed right there. And it still does have that same distinctive look no other midsize sedan looks like this. You have your entirely LED taillights right here now. This is a hybrid after all, so here in the powertrain is going to see your significant benefits over the regular Sonata model.

On the inside of the 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, when we first got in, it doesn’t appear to have any differences as opposed to the regular model, which is a good thing because we are a massive fan of the new sonata’s interior. So, you do have beautiful materials throughout the dashboard you have a nice leather read through there, this is honestly just one of the most spacious offerings in the class.

It feels very spacious; however, there is one difference that we want to point out, and that’s that there is no moon roof because of that solar roof, so you’re going to pay the price for that extra 2 miles per day by having no moon roof at all on this model.

And the last thing that I do want to cover here is the cargo area. This is going to be just as spacious as the regular model because 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid  has claimed that this is no different than the regular Sonata.

So, what you’re going to be looking at here is a 2 liter 4-cylinder paired two-hybrid componentry to produce a total system horsepower of 192. This is pretty class-competitive, but efficiency is really what makes a Sonata Hybrid stand out because it is rated at 52 miles per gallon combined, which places it at the highest end of the class. 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid class-leading figure, and as far as the fuel range, that’s going to be 686 miles of fuel range, which is fantastic you won’t be stopping much to fill your Sonata up with gas nowhere.
