2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo –  We’ve forever had a soft spot in our mind. For the mazda6 mosses in general have always been more appealing to driving enthusiasts. It means throughout the early 2000 and 2010 eras their tagline was zoom- zoom and the six was literally the anti-Camry and anti-Accord. It just offered so much more in terms of power in terms of handling. In terms of looks the current generation has been around for a few years now and we think its design has aged well.

Although Mazda has given it a thorough refresh just a couple of years ago now of course the latest generation 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo has been around since 2014. Its third generation and this is a car that pretty much debuted Mazda’s design language. There’s an all-new version of the six coming out for 2020 and it’s rumored to be a rear drive car with an inline six. that’s right it’s gonna be calling a completely different direction versus the current model. However, if you guys are looking to pick up one of these today, we think it’s still one of the most attractive looking family sedans out there.

What You Have to Get From 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo

You can see this signature trim painted in this machine gray isn’t particularly our favorite color, but as you can see, you’ll distinguish it as a signature trim from the unique finish on the grille. This signature Mazda five-point grille it’s got this unique finish.

On the inside there’s a lot of chrome at the front you have standard full LED headlights which are swiveling and adapted. Although 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo got rid of the fog lights on the refreshed models. We wish that they had kept that signature design element but overall, this cars design continues to remain fresh.

The wheels on the 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo trim are 19-inch design wrapped in 225 with tires by 45 series. They actually do look good. We like the design of the spokes this car is pretty much right smack in the middle in terms of size at 190 to 0.7 inches long. This is about the same size as Honda Accord and a Toyota Camry. At the back you can see the design you’ve seen this design before Mazda put some LED combination rear taillights.

In terms of the interior, Mazda also is going all in with their Mazda premium philosophy. This technically is the flagship of the Mazda sedan lineup and the one thing they be added last year. It was apple CarPlay in Android auto which is a big thing finally made the infotainment system. A little more usable but this signature trim also has a bunch of other niceties.

That make you think like you’re driving a luxury car now on the inside of the latest 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo. You should be pretty familiar with this interior as well the seats. On the signature trim they’re really comfortable. We really like the nappa leather that they use in here they also have pretty aggressive bolstering.

We still don’t like the placement of the engine start/stop button. And we think it’s a little too high but as you can see the signature includes a heads-up display. You’ve got a slightly digital instrument panel of course behind the steering wheel and a 360 camera was added for this generation. Although check out the graphics very 2010 maybe even pre 2010 at least.

Looking at this 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo steering wheel, you can see this is the older Mazda steering wheel it has telescoping function which is nice you can get pretty comfortable. In this car has a good amount of adjustability paddles on the wheel. In this car, you have the steering wheel audio controls.

Specification

When this generation six first debuted a few years ago it was deemed under powered by a lot of enthusiasts Mazda rectified that a couple years ago. With the addition of this 2.5-liter turbocharged skyactiv-G direct injection 4-cylinder this has 227 horsepower.

If you guys put regular in it or 250 when you put the recommended premium and up to 310-pound feet of torque. Those numbers are decent the most torque in the segment however but horsepower is a little bit low you’ll get a little bit more horsepower something like a Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord for example.

2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo all goes out there a one choice only 6-speed automatic this is not a replacement for the old Mazda speed six. Some of you may be remember from the first generation model this car only comes with front-wheel drive. We wish Mazda would offer all-wheel drive in this thing and it weighs a little over 3,500 pounds. Mazda says you should get to 60 around the six-second mark and fuel economy is rated at 23 in the city 31 highway.

This 2.5-liter turbo does not turn this car into a 2020 Mazda6 Signature Turbo but what it does do is it gives the 6 a lot of effortless low-end power. Which is really important if you’re trying to pass, you’re trying to just get up to speed the 2.5 has a lot of mid-range. It’s a really great torquey engine that has been tuned specifically to deliver all that mid-range torque easily and quickly. The problem is you know for a turbocharged engine they can either go different two different ways. They can be really high-strung with lots of turbo lag or they can also be you know lots of low-end torque very strong mid-range.
