2020 Nissan Maxima – The sedan model offers more value for money. The hatchback is known to offer the best transportation. However, the sedan does not have any bad points associated with it. When it comes to the price, it is a little bit higher than the sedan, but it still offers a great deal.
Many owners of the sedan model consider it as the best value. This is because there are many upgrades available when it comes to parts and services. If you are looking for a vehicle that offers the best features and upgrade options, you would be better served by getting a car that is within the sedan category.
What You Have to Get From 2020 Nissan Maxima
As you may know last year this 2020 Nissan Maxima was extensively refreshed. So that updated exterior styling does carry over for 2020. Right here in the middle. you’re gonna have Nissan’s the latest V-Motion grille. Last year it was made a little bit more aggressive with some more black trim around. It just to kind of make it look honestly like a little bit like the GTR. Then over here with your headlights these are also a very premium looking. We are seeing their full LED with that crystal design including your daytime running light running lights and turn signal.
One thing contrasting very nicely with this orange exterior here on the 2020 Nissan Maxima SR we have fully black wheels these are 19 inches wheels. Just like they are on the platinum and platinum reserve, they do have different finishes and then your lower models. Those are going to come with an 18-inch alloy instead. Moving on up we have a fully blacked out mirror this is actually across all the models not just this SR. You also find heating across all the models you have blind spot monitoring on the SL. Then you’ll also find auto-dimming if you go for the Platinum trim.
So, walking around to the 2020 Nissan Maxima rear design, one of the first things that you’re going to notice is Nissan’s signature floating roof design. Which has actually fallen down to the Altima Sentra and Versa. As far as the rear design itself, we have to say with this SR quite nice. Looks very sporty, and it also is very sleek and modern. Down there on your tail lights you’re gonna have standard fully LED tail lights. Then down here at the bottom you are gonna have quad exhaust outlets on this Maxima.
Let’s hop on the inside. Our first peek inside of this interior, well that nothing has really changed for 2020. As far as the design but it does continue to really make a nice first impression because it kind of looks like a luxury car inside. That’s especially true on upper end models like this SR which comes with a diamond quilted Alcantara in the middle. And then premium ascot leather trim on the outside with the color contrast orange stitching.
On the 2020 Nissan Maxima Platinum model, you’ll get diamond Ascot leather with your choice of charcoal or cashmere colors. The other two trim levels the “S” is going to come standard with cloth seating in black and then your SV and 2020 Nissan Maxima SL those have real leather in charcoal or cashmere colors.
Everything in here does fit together extremely well. When push button start is located right there on the console and checking out the gauges here this does carry over from last year. So, you still have the analog gauges with the large 7-inch multi-function display right there in the middle. It does contain all the typical affair of information including your settings for the safety systems. Then coming back here to the steering wheel now this is one of the areas that really makes the SR stand apart from the other trim levels.
It’s not super large but it is very deep. You have a nice felt lining throughout and a 12-volt outlet. When we take our stack of paper, they will fit nicely. So long as we hold them in half like so of course you’ve got your two cupholders right there in the front. Then underneath of this slot you kind of have a hidden storage compartment it looks like it’s nothing but it actually goes way back there so you could stick your phone or something like that. You also find a USB type-c a regular USB and an office jack inset.
Speak about infotainment system, you’re looking at is going to be the 8-inch display this is standard on every single version of the maxima. And it has not changed for 2020. So you continue to have some shortcut buttons along the side you also have some button shortcuts along the bottom and it is set up in the similar way to an Android tablet where you have little widgets and apps on the home screen.
Getting into this 2020 Nissan Maxima rear-seat, we say first impression is that with this SR trim you do have a distinctly sporty vibe back there with these Alcantara inserts. The seats the nice leather wrapping and it also does feel a little bit kind of more like a bucket seat than in the regular Maxima platinum. As far as the actual space itself this Maxima actually is smaller than the Altima.
Powertrain situation of the Maxima that does carry over it’s been the same for a while and you can probably hear that V6 engine note. It’s the same three and a half liters with V6, 300 horsepower 271 pound-feet of torque. You know it’s good this has always been a fast car it’s definitely under six seconds zero to sixty. Probably you know middle fives so it definitely is quite quick. Then just the quickness of it you know the sound is just so good. It’s really a shame that this engine is not in more products because the sound is absolutely phenomenal from both the outside and inside.
In addition to being a sports vehicle, the transmission is a lot of you guys probably know by this point the Maxima is no exception. Most Nissan’s have a contains variable transmission. As you could tell it does have a shift simulation. We also have the paddle shifters on this SR. This is the completely trim level that has them they’re really big they’re mounted on the column. As far as how your power is gonna be routed down it’s gonna be the front wheels of home language. It would have been really kind of nice if you know they did have an all-wheel drive option for this maximum especially now that the Altima has an all-wheel-drive option. But it is still going to be front-wheel drive only for 2020.
it’s not going to be too fantastic on the fuel economy. Since it is a little bit of an older engine so it’s going to come in at 20 City, 30 Highway, 24 combined which is around 2 MPG worse than the equipment equivalent Avalon. But it really not horrible fuel economy overall just a little bit worse than some of the competition.
2020 Nissan Maxima Price
Pricing for this 2020 Nissan Maxima now the prices are up around five hundred dollars on each of the trim levels this year except on the SR trim. Which has increased fifteen hundred so for your very base s model that’s going to start at thirty-four to fifty. SR is forty-one for fifty and the Platinum is a very slight increase over the SR to forty-one thousand six hundred forty.
