2020 Toyota Highlander Specs, Interior Platinum – So, the previous generation of the Highlander was getting very long in the tooth. But despite that being on a sixth model year It still sold exceptionally well last year. Now for 2020, Toyota is hoping to build further on that success with this All-new model that promises to improve the Highlander in all areas.
What You Have to Get From 2020 Toyota Highlander
One of the first things we regard is that it’s quite the departure from the recently redesigned rav4 in terms of the theme. Instead of going more rugged actually, it’s got a little bit more conservative this year. For one thing, the grill itself is a lot smaller than the previous kind of cone-shaped rest, current and you also have a lot less chrome than on that previous-generation model.
Now there are two versions of this grill. This is the premium version that has metallic finish in the inside and chrome across the top and then the 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE, and below, they come with a matte finish. Just a silver accent across the top, but one of our most significant upgrades for this all-new Highlander is the fact that every single trim level now comes standard with full LED Headlights those previously.
We’re not available at all on the 2020 Toyota Highlander Highlander. There are two different versions of this as well your L through your xle come with reflector LED headlights where the upper two trims come with LED headlights. You will also notice we have LED fog lights. These come on all that the very base L model. Then finally, the last thing we want to point out is this silver accent, which is platinum exclusive. Now in regards to the wheels One of the things we like about this new generation of the highlander, that’s Toyota gives almost every single trim level its unique wheel design.
So, what you’ll be looking at is 18-inch alloys on your L trim and le. Then when you go for the xle, it upgrades to 18-inch contrast alloys then when you go for the limited. That’s where you get 20-inch alloys, and then this platinum also has 20-inch alloys but with an exclusive and very nice-looking finish.
In regards to your mirrors, you do have standard body color as well as heating, and you also find blind-spot monitoring integrated inside the mirror itself on all. As far as additional features, you have a projection puddle lamp Which has the 2020 Toyota Highlander logo that’s on the limited and the platinum trim level. But you will not find power-folding or auto-dimming on any of the models.
All-new 2020 Highlander as you can tell right off the bat It looks a lot different than the outgoing generation. Starting with your materials L, LE, XLE gives you faux leather, and then we go for the limits out of the 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum. That’s where you’ll get the real leather seating. Now turning over here to your door trim, it is beautifully appointed. You’ve got lots of this glazed caramel leather that runs all through here as well as up here Limited, and the platinum both have the faux wood accents, and then the other portions are a soft touch.
As far as your seats one of the beautiful things that are done for this generation as including an eight-way power adjusting seat even on the base model, and then when you go for the xle or above, that’s where you’ll get this 10-way power adjusting seat. One of the first issues you’ll notice if you get inside is just how visually luxurious this cabin looks and we are happy to report that it is backed up by luxurious materials for the most part now, there is one hard touch Section of the dashboard located right above the gauges.
Now start up all the models. Just press the button to go. Now looking over here at your gauge cluster, it is nicely upgraded for this new generation. You’ll still notice some analog gauges, but in the middle of the vast majority of the trim levels, you will have a 7-inch display except for on the L and LE, which have a 4.2-inch show. And as you can see, this does include a ton of different information Including some specific stuff for the all-wheel-drive system.
The advanced safety systems, in addition to that on the Platinum, you will also have a head-up display, which is still a pretty rare feature for this class of vehicle. We are talking about storage, which frankly is an area where this new 2020 Toyota Highlander is killing it. So, we’ll start over here at our center console; this is pretty similar to last year with this kind of impressive sliding arrangement.
But once you slide that back, you will notice that we have a Qi wireless phone charger which Toyota does nicely include on the xle and up. And similar to that if you want the premium 11-speaker JBL sound system that will also require the limited or the 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum trim. Obviously. However, if you don’t choose to get the navigation system, we want to be lower in trim levels. You will still have both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay standards across the board.
2020 Toyota Highlander Specification
It is first hanging off here in this all-new Highlander. This area here it does feel familiar, and that’s because it does have the same powertrain as last year. Not a bad thing though quick as far as the specs themselves Like we were saying it is the same 3.5-liter V6 engine from last year 295 horsepower 263 pound-feet of torque. So definitely on the upper end of the segment and base, four cylinders have been dropped.
So, even the L trim level will now come with this V6 straight out of the gate. That’s a nice benefit. This engine I’ve always complimented it in the past, you know, it’s been quite a few different Toyota and Lexus products just the level of refinement that this 3.5-liter V6 has. You know Highlander buyers are looking for that. High level of elegance and with this three and a half liter V6.
So, for the front-wheel-drive versions, you’re going to have 21 cities, 29 highway, 24 combined. And then if you have for an all-wheel-drive that’s going to go down to 20 City, 27 Highway, 23 combined. You know Which honestly that’s one of the best fuel economy ratings in the class that will beat the pilot, Telluride, and a barrier.
How much the 2020 Toyota Highlander Price?
For the very base trim, you’re going to start at $34.600, and it is worth knowing. That’s a massive increase over last year, but the significant thing with that is, of course, that it does have the V6 as standard equipment, which we already talked about. Then for the LE, you have $36,800. The xle is $39.600, the limited $43.600, and then finally, you have this model, which is the platinum, and that’s going to start at $46.800.
