2020 Volkswagen Tiguan Price, Interior, Colors –  So basically, since we first started reviewing there, people have been requesting Volkswagens, but we haven’t been able to discuss any that is until now. So, for our first Volkswagen, we have one of their most popular products, the 2020 Tiguan.

Volkswagens have been around since 1937 if you could believe that the people’s car over the years they’ve been so, synonymous with the beetle but of course in recent years. They’ve had to expand, especially in that booming SUV, CUV segment of the market with the Tiguan.

Things have changed, and we think that you’re going to find that they’ve changed in a right way the Tiguan is grown a little bit since its last major refresh which that redesign took place just last year with 2018 the 2019 continues. That design and what’s interesting is that the Tiguan is wider. It’s longer, and it offers three rows.

What You Have to Get From 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan

Started here with the exterior design, the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan doesn’t have any changes in this area for 2020. So, you’ll continue to have the typical clean and straightforward Volkswagen grille. Now, most of the models do have this look. However, if you get the top-end Arline model, you have a slightly revised look here in this part, but the big difference is down below.

The lower fascia will be changed to look more aggressive. As far as your headlights, you won’t get LED headlights unless you go for that very top end SEL premium or line, but the lower models will still have an LED daytime running light. Then dropping down, the SEL and up will come with a halogen fog light Now next up there.

We have the wheels now Volkswagen one thing they nicely do is skip over hubcaps and steel wheels that go straight to alloys 17 inches on the S-trim and the SE. When you go up to this SEL, you get these 19-inch alloys, which we think look very nice. Finally, I went to the top in trim. You have 20-inch alloys, which is very large for the class and then as far as your mirrors that they are heated on the SEL trim level.

One of your 2020 changes is that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are now standard across all of the trim levels. So here at the rear of the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan, I have to say this is a very conservative design as with pretty much any Volkswagen. But we a big fan of it because it does have lovely componentry.

2020 Volkswagen Tiguan Interior

2020 Volkswagen Tiguan Interior

Checking out the interior of this Tiguan, you can see there hasn’t been much in the way of changes in the design for 2020. But there have been some updates to the features. As far as your interior material and color options, you do have a decent number of selections. So, what you’ll be looking at is cloth seating on the s Trent in Titan black or storm gray. When you go for the SE or the SEL, that’s where you’ll get V Tech’s leatherette in black or gray now.

One of our favorite features of the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan is a digital cockpit system. Now, this is pretty much like the Audi virtual cockpit system. Just with a few Limitations to the design so it’s a little less customizable, but you still can do things like changing the view here where you’ll drop down your gauges. Down to the bottom corners, and have like a full-screen map, and then you can also scroll.

Starting with our center console there, it isn’t huge, but it is intense and does have a felt lining down at the bottom. And then in front of that, we have two large cup holders that are deep and also a little storage area right there. And then up in the front most importantly you do have a large Storage place with a rubber lining you have two charging USBs. We don’t understand if you can obtain it out here, but you can see Qi is written onto this rubber pad, and that’s because you have wireless phone charging Which is surprisingly regular on all but the very bottom model.

Now coming back here to the shifter, this is just a traditional shifter as you can see Pull back for the drive. You can go to the right if you want to shift manually right there. However, there are not any paddle shifters on the steering wheel on any of the trims, even if you go for the area line, and then when we go into reverse, you will find a standard backup camera across the entire range.

2020 Volkswagen Tiguan Specification

We would say it is pretty good in power. Definitely in this category of vehicle that felt pretty strong as far as the horsepower number. This is a 2-liter turbo four-cylinder, and we have 184 horsepower. So that’s roughly right in line with what most the competition has, but this is a little bit more torque. Rich as 221 pound-feet of torque. So usually we’re below 200, and we think it can feel the difference there.

Most of you know that acceleration was a little bit of a big difference. You know than most in the class because you know, we will talk about this later. But most of those classes have the CVT, which makes their accelerations feel a lot slower. Since he’s mentioning it, this is an 8-speed automatic transmission that is undoubtedly a pro for some of you guys over top of the continuously variable Transmission that some of the competition has or perhaps a 6-speed automatic.

One thing that we want to tell is the transmission. It wasn’t too geared towards fuel economy. So this is not going to be at the top of the class in terms of its efficiency. Because for the front-wheel-drive models rated at 22 cities, 29 Highway, 25 combined. If you go for the AWD, it’s going to be 20 cities, 27 highway, 23 combined/ You know pretty much goes without saying that’s a lot less than most in this class that you know, but we just got all the CRV the CRV is rated at 29 combined. So that’s a 6-mpg increase over that, but you are getting you to know significant powertrain upgrades over.
