2021 Chevy Trailblazer – Chevy has recently been bringing back some of their old nameplates, starting with the blazer last year and now this trailblazer for 2021. But unlike the original version, this reincarnation is now a subcompact crossover designed to fit right in between the tracks and the equinox and offer more style than either of them. Still, it does it stand out in this increasingly crowded segment.
What you get from 2021 Chevy Trailblazer
So, kicking things off the exterior, one of the things that 2021 Chevy Trailblazer emphasizes they have a lot of different versions of this trailblazer to appeal to all different types of taste. So, up in the front, you’re going to find like we said a lot of different versions. This is the regular version that comes on the lower three trim levels. So, you have just the traditional black bars with the chrome that runs through there. However, if you go up to the current trim level, that’s where things are going to look more rugged since that’s the more off-road focus model.
Differentiation that we are talking about in the front does involve the wheel since every single trim level comes with a different design, most of which are quite stylish—starting on the model that’s going to have a 16-inch steel wheel with hubcaps. Once you go for the LS or this LT, that’s where you’re going to get a 17-inch alloy with this different design being exclusive to the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer.
As you move up from that, you have a 17-inch alloy on the current trim level and then an 18-inch alloy. When you go up for the RS and then jumping up to our mirrors here they’re going to be painted and heated if you go for the LT or higher and then as far as the blind-spot monitoring that’s going to be optional on all the trim levels as part of the driver confidence package.
All right, so before we head around to the rear, we do want to stop here at the side and talk about a few different things. So first of all, we just want to talk about the style in general. We think this looks pretty good from the side in a segment where a lot of them can seem like a little jelly bean or something weird, and that has to do with what Chevy has done here for the styling.
All of the models are going to have this floating roof pillar. This is blacked out on all of the trim levels, and then if you go for the higher two trim levels, the active and RS you can get a two-tone roof so it can be bronze and white on the active or black and red on the RS model. Coming around to the rear itself, you are going to have that same good-looking design. It does kind of look like a baby blazer back here. As far as your feature set, you’re going to have just halogen tail lights on this lower-end LT model.
However, you go for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer RS or active they are going to be led and then down here on the bottom the higher two trim levels will also add in exposed exhaust outlets nowhere at the safety systems is another area where we are impressed with this all-new 2021 Chevy Trailblazer since Chevy does throw in the vast majority of the standard across the board.
That’s where you’re going to get cloth seating in your choice of jet black or gray now on this LT; we have the cloth seating. However, you can option on leather if you prefer that and then on your active and RS trim levels. Those are going to come standard with the leatherette with your choice of black with brown accents or red accents now turning over here to your door trim those same materials are reflected up here.
So, we have a soft touch armrest, and above that, we have the same gray cloth that is inside of the seat as far as your windows your driver window is going to be automatic up and down. Then coming down here to your place, we have the 10-way power adjusting seat with two-way lumbar support. This comes standard on the LT and higher.
Like we already mentioned, of course, we have the standard cloth seat. Still, we do want to point out just how attractive this design is we like the way that they have this contrasting look inside of the place and different types of stitching and piping details now in addition to the sleek design that we already mentioned we have a pretty nice selection of materials. For this class of vehicle now as expected, the top part of this dashboard is going to be hard touch, but as we drop down here to the middle, we have a kind of textured soft-touch plastic with a color contrast stitching detail.
This livens up the cabin below that we have kind of a gray plastic accent here, and of course, as expected, you know lower areas are going to be hard touch. But we have to say; we are very impressed by how solid everything feels and the fact that everything fits together really well. We don’t notice any panel gaps or anything like that now standard on the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer LT. What you’re looking at right now are these standard gauges they are analog with that classic gm design you can get a larger 4.2-inch multi-function display though if you have the technology package on.
The higher-end trim levels and then coming back to the steering wheel, as you can see on this specific example. We do not have leather. This is the standard urethane steering wheel comes on the lower three trims, and the upper two, you will have leather trim of course of course it is manual adjusting as well, and heating is not available.
2021 Chevy Trailblazer Specification
Now let’s talk about the performance. First was an acceleration of up to 16 miles per hour. We have to say it’s pretty decent. Nothing in this class is quick, but it’s perfectly adequate for this type of vehicle as a small crossover. That it is um now we were kind of intrigued because they have, we haven’t been behind the wheel of very many three-cylinder cars. That’s right. This is a three-cylinder.
Another GM is offering this with two different three-cylinder options. We have the more powerful one that’s going to be a 1.3-liter turbo three-cylinder, 155 horsepower, 174 pound-feet of torque. That’s optional on this LT and standard on the higher two trim levels, and it’s only about a 395 option.
So, it’s not like super expensive, but if you don’t do go for that base engine, that’s a 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder, and that’s 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. So not a massive power difference between the two, but definitely this what we have here is going to be a short bit higher end you know but just cruising around here.
Now that we have gotten up to speed, you know this is what the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is for you know anything in this segment a vehicle you know it’s supposed to be an urban vehicle that you just kind of drive around and needs to be comfortable have room for the family.

For the front-wheel-drive model, 2021 Chevy Trailblazer going to be $19.000 even the LS is $21.500, LT is $23.600. The active is $25.400, and then the RS is the same price you just basically pick between the two now we do have a few options on this particular 2021 Chevy Trailblazer.
