2021 Hyundai Santa Fe – As you guys know in the automotive world things can change pretty quickly especially when you’re competing in such red-hot segments like a midsize two row crossover utility vehicle. Now just a year ago Hyundai introduced the all-new four generation 2019-2020. The company has just unveiled the completely refreshed 2021.
In fact, it’s the different that Hyundai is calling this probably the most radical refresh that you’ll ever find. Some of the Hyundai execs are saying that it’s a completely new generation, which we a little skeptical about it.
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe was Hyundai’s first ever crossover utility vehicle and it grew to become one of the company’s bestselling models it has a very long and loyal fan base in America. So obviously the new version last year. When we first tested, it was pretty impressed with a viable alternative to something like a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV. This car offers more interior space than the compact crossover segments but it’s a little bit larger it’s a midsize crossover. It’s also priced more like a compact crossover.
What You Have to Get From 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe
The new version you can see the front fascia has been pretty significantly altered. In fact, when we first saw this 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, we thought it looked more like a palisade. The company’s signature cascade grille at the front is dominating the front end and it’s flanked by redesigned LED headlights. It’s kind of create a tee design it actually kind of looks like the Volvo Thor’s hammer LED.
But the orientation has been flip-flopped or it’s been rotated to point downward instead. It’s a very unique design and we are really happy to see 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe taking extreme risk. That you can find now when you look at the side profile of the 2021 Santa Fe. This is where you can tell this is just a refreshed model because it looks like the overall silhouette of the SUV has not changed. It is bigger of course than most of the competition of the 2020 model.
This car has 188 inches long, that we noticing that they did change. Obviously, you can see on the fenders and the wheel wells they have been altered slightly to accommodate. A new 20-inch wheel design which by the way these wheels look fantastic.
We love the low profile look it gives this the new 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe a much sleeker more premium look. It kind of more Volvo meets outtie look in the design. As you can see the taillights very much closely resemble what we saw on the new Elantra it has this new horizontal thin LED strips. That connects the two taillight modules together. A full LED taillight design it definitely makes this thing look more again like a luxury crossover and less like a mainstream crossover.
Moving to inside of the new Santa Fe, you can see in just in line with a refresh. There are some slight changes to this vehicle to make the interior seem a lot nicer. Hyundai says they’ve redesigned the center stack of this thing they’ve upgraded the infotainment system. They’ve upgraded the instrument panel now with a 12-point 3-inch digital display which looks very similar to Kia Sorento.
At the center stack you can see there’s now a ten and a quarter inch LED or LCD display. Which is now 2 which is also a touchscreen this is the latest version of Hyundai’s blue link telematics system. We do like the kind of dual cowl design that they put on the Santa Fe. We also seeing a new electronic shifter which has now been replaced with buttons. it’s adding more to the button Fiasco on the interior which some of you may not like at a glance.
Another couple thing 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe added it has a new terrain response management selector thing. You can adjust the drive mode selector is not just from sport but you can also tell the cars computer what kind of terrain you’re driving on. It does supposedly have some off-road capability.
Although most of you are probably not going to take it off-road. Overall, the interior is an even nicer place to spend time and just keep in mind it’s going to have more interior space than something like a raft for a CRV.
There was a point in their product lifecycle where they were looking a little bit bland and now, they’re definitely starting to design things that are standing out. On soft launch for this car 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe says there’ll be more information coming for the USA versions as we get closer to the on-sale date.
In Korea they are showing this car off with a hybrid powertrain but in the USA, they’re not talking about powertrains just yet. We are hoping it will get the 2.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that we saw in the Sonata N-line that should close to 300 horsepower to make this thing one of the quickest accelerating midsize crossovers.
