2020 Hyundai Palisade –  Hyundai did not have as many crossovers in their lineup as the competition had, but they are very quickly changing that this barrier is one of five new crossovers in the last two years. And it will serve as the flagship for the brand in both size and luxury.

Exterior

It is starting things off for the exterior styling. It’s safe to say you won’t see much of a familial resemblance to another Hyundai’s or the Telluride. Like the Kia, it is a bold look but in a different flavor like with the grill, for instance, instead of being a narrow rectangle.

It has a tall and thick shape that does come in a different finish for each trim 2020 Hyundai Palisade SE, and SEL gives this sport mesh design. In either silver or this satin chrome and then a limited has a more robust looking slatted grill instead, but the unique part of the Palisades design is the headlight cluster Hyundai has separated the various parts of the light.

So, that the turn signal is at the top, the low and high beams are stacked below it, then you have a daytime running light that runs between them kind of. Like a recent Cadillacs, the lighting technology itself is standard halogens on SE and 2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL but the 2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited. As well as this SEL with convenience package have full LED lights instead of heading around to the side.

The barrier has a box here and more traditional SUV look than many of its rivals, which also makes it look larger even though it’s middles of the pack in terms of size now. In regards to the rear, this is the only aspect of design that’s remotely similar to the Telluride while the details are different, they both have vertical LED taillights.

Their names spelled out across the back, and dual exhaust outlets mounted side-by-side. Overall, Hyundai has done a fantastic job of making the barrier look luxurious and distinct from the competitors, which often tend to be very vanilla.

Now one design aspect we haven’t mentioned is the wheels there are four different choices these specific ones being our personal favorite the 20-inch alloys in the SEL convenience package. Usually, the SE and SEL would come with different 18-inch alloys while the Limited comes standard with a multi-spoke 20-inch ER. Next up, we own the glasses, which are always power adjusting and heated with the neat turn signals coming on the SEL in them.

You’ll also find blind-spot monitoring on all but the base model but as far as all the other advanced safety systems. Hyundai has made them standard across even the base palisade.

You have automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control Lane Keeping Assist, and auto high beam headlights, which makes it one of the few in the segment to offer so many safety systems as standard.

We also want to mention the towing, which is a class-competitive 5,000 pounds. However, the barrier does have one uncommon feature, which is Auto leveling ability on the limited finally, the last things to look at are the fuel ranges from the 18.8-gallon tank. It’s suitable for a range of 414 miles with front-wheel drive and 395 with all-wheel drive using regular unleaded fuel, but anyways that cover the standout exterior.

Interior

So first taking a look inside the all-new 2020 Hyundai barrier as you can tell right off the bat, this has a distinct design language from the rest of the Hyundai lineup. As far as your interior color and material options, there are a bunch of them, so what you’re going to start with on your SE and your SEL is going to be necessary cloth seating in black or grey.

When you go up to the Premium Package, that’s going to get you real leather as we have here in black gray or a light beige. Now when you go for the Limited trim, that’s going to upgrade you to Nappa leather further, and that, of course, is a sporadic feature to find in a mainstream crossover.

Turning over here to your door trim, it is very nicely finished as you can see you do have leather across the entire armrest as well as above it. The top part is a soft touch, and then you have a kind of textured faux aluminum through the middle section.

As the push-button start that does come standard on the SEL and up and when you press it, you’ll find this standard 8-inch display fire up on most of the trims. However, on the limited, you will have a standard 10.25-inch display, which would expand outward. A little bit and take up most of the space and take out the bezels now over here in the gauges, the barrier is pretty impressive.

In the fact that you’ve got three different setups, so we’ve got the middle option, you’re going to start with the base on the base SC and the SEL with a small 4.2-inch display, however, when you go for the convenience package. That’s going to upgrade this to a 7-inch display, which is what you’re looking at there. Then when you go through the limited, all this is going to be changed out for a giant twelve-point three-inch reconfigurable display.

It does contain all the traditional information that you want to see, including things regarding your standard safety systems. You’re going to find electric power-assisted steering, and you will find this excellent leather wrapping on all of at the very base model like we were saying you do have your traditional Hyundai controls. We’ve got our audio phone and voice commands.

Then on this side, we have our controls for our adaptive cruise control and our multifunction display. Up top, you will find rain-sensing wipers standard on the limited, and surprisingly you will find paddle shifters standard across the entire range.

Fuel, Transmission, and Performance

Well now, Hyundai, you keep things pretty simple relative to some of the competition. On you have one engine and transmission combination standard across the entire lineup. So, what you’re looking at is a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 291 horsepower and 260 to pound-feet of torque.

Those are definitely class-competitive numbers. That is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission across the entire lineup, even the base model. You’ve got a standard front-wheel drive, and an optional all-wheel drive is a 1700 R option.

Then as far as your fuel economy that does generate two different combinations plus, you’re looking at 19 City, 26 Highway 22 combined with front-wheel drive, and that drops to 21 combined. If you go with an all-wheel drive, that’s pretty much your specifications quick, but of course, what matters more is what it’s like out of the road.

How Much The 2020 Hyundai Palisade Price?

The most beautiful thing about the all-new Hyundai barrier, it’s the very affordable price tag, especially compared to a lot of the competition. For the very base model, which is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade SE trim, that’s going to start at thirty-one thousand five hundred and fifty dollars.

That is with the front-wheel-drive now. If you want to go one rung up to what we have here, this is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL trim, and that’s going to start only two thousand dollars more expensive at thirty-three thousand five hundred fifty dollars.

If you want to go for the fully loaded Limited trim with all the luxury amenities and all that that’s going to be an eleven thousand dollar price increase to forty four thousand seven hundred dollars as a starting now like we mentioned if you want all-wheel drive that is a $1,700 option across all of those trims.
