Remember GMC General Motors truck company it’s been around for so many decades building those big work trucks over the years. They’ve had to change their philosophy a little bit not only they do in a vehicle, es but they’re also doing SUVs.

One inspiring thing is that this is the first time that the GMC Sierra 1500 has an off-road specific model known as the AT4. Now, remember for 2019, the Sierra 1500 was redesigned just like its sibling the Chevrolet Silverado but for the first time in history.
The 2020 GMC Sierra AT4 is not mimicking the Silverado, making it its unique particular truck with the AT4. You’re going to get some impressive off-road capabilities that the standard 1500 doesn’t have, but Dick Norris Buick GMC has gone a little bit further by installing some customization products on the truck.
So that you could get this turnkey to buy it and roll right out at the dealership and on to your off-road terrain, but let’s go ahead and dive into this 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4.

What You Have To Get From 2020 GMC Sierra AT4
Exterior
Right off the bat, I love this color this blue has a beautiful shine to it headlight design you’re going to get full-LED daytime running lamps. As well we think it’s smart the way GMC has done the shape of their headlight design. We feel that that c-shape interlocks well with the grille now as we drop down a little bit, which you don’t have to drop down very much, because of how big this truck is you have your LED fog lamps and what’s nice is this is a functional air curtain.
So, none of this is fake upfront. We think it’s smart. This, like almost like a gunmetal grey color, works well with the blue. As we come across that iconic grille from GMC General Motors truck company, that’s a gunmetal gray horizontal slot.
Upfront, you have a two-speed transfer case, and the suspension lift that it’s sitting on is from Rough Country but looks menacing. As we rise back up onto the massive hood, we think GMC does an excellent job clean lines you have a couple of tracks on both sides to give you that nice raised portion in the center.
As we come around the bend, this is where some of that extra surprise is happening look at the amount of space that we have from the top of the tire to the inside of the fender.
We drop down, and here’s some of that customization going on, so you have these fuel wheels this is a custom wheel gloss-black 20-inch wheel, with a 35 series toe Taiyo open country off-road tires setup. This is going to help you fight that terrain, but we think the black wheels with the blue very lovely. As we kind of zoom in on the suspension, you can see the RC Rough Country logo there for the extra suspension lift.

Now they’re all is a lot of dark material on the door panel. We wish they would have done a little bit more, but we do like that faint brown tan stitching on the armrest there’s like a faux carbon-fiber design going on the pull handle to close the door.
Then you have a large door pocket there where you could put two super Slurpee’s and a bag, a big bag of lays down there and enjoy your drive. Now going from the door panel to you do have the custom Bose sound system soft material both top and, in the front, not only one but two glove compartments.
So, you have an 2020 GMC Sierra AT4. You could have your driving gloves in your work gloves separated close. That up, you can see the stitch work around the AC vent a little bit of silver trim. As we come to the center, there’s a pocket up here where you could cook your Twinkies. You line them up in there, and they’ll get heated up by the Sun through the windshield. But we do like this table material here’s where it gets a little wonky, so they didn’t do many redesigns to the infotainment system.
You have an 8-inch infotainment system screen. We do like the colors and the graphics. We just wish it was more substantial, and it was redesigned. We want the sliding feature their Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, of course, you’re going to get navigation to take some few seconds alone load little dated on the graphics.

This beast was going to be that naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine, 420 horsepower, and 460 pound-feet of torque. You could pull a home off its base with that kind of torque. Like we said ten-speed automatic transmission, the truck weighs around five thousand four hundred sixty-six pounds and can tow up to twelve thousand five hundred pounds.
What’s great about the AT4 is you have that two-inch lift. We also have another four-inch lift on top of that to give us a total of six inches on this custom lifted truck zero to sixty. What’s impressive five-point eight seconds quarter-mile 14.2 and if you’re worried about MPGs 15 City, 19 in the highway. This is how a truck I know many of you feel a car should be that naturally aspirated engine.
